Carve with control
A CNC router is a computer-controlled cutting machine that carves and cuts sheet materials with a spinning bit.
Unlike a laser, it removes material mechanically—ideal for thicker stock, joinery, relief carving, and parts that need real depth.
Makers cut furniture components, signs, molds, panels, and dimensional carvings that would take far longer by hand.
At Rochester Makerspace, members train on the CNC routers, then book machine time for their projects.
